Wingas's Bunde Flange Integrated into NWE Hub - Rebate Arrangement Introduced

HubCo - North West European Hub Service Company GmbH (HubCo) has gained Wingas Trading as a new customer. This raises to six the number of companies trading gas via HubCo at the Bunde / Emden hub. "We are pleased that Wingas Trading, an important an experienced energy market actor, is convinced of our company's efficiency and high-quality services," said Andreas Jordan, HubCo Managing Director.

In March of this year, the Kassel-based gas transmission company Wingas GmbH acquired a 25 % stake in HubCo. As from now the Wingas flange in Bunde is available for trading activities of HubCo customers. This means that the Wingas gas transmission system is included in the services provided by HubCo. "This leads to even more flexibility for our customers in the Bunde / Emden region. Integration of the Wingas flange enables us to widen our product range for market players," Mr. Jordan stated.

Apart from the discount already granted on the basic hub fee, HubCo has introduced a 25 % rebate on the physical hub fee for the current business year. The physical hub fee is the component of the transparent HubCo pricing system charged to cover transport and handling costs connected with gas input and output, i.e. when gas actually flows through the hub. HubCo Managing Director Jordan: "This pricing makes our comprehensive service package even more attractive."

HubCo - North West European Hub Service Company GmbH is an independent operating company based at Haan. It offers international gas traders fully integrated hub services for the Bunde / Emden hub. They include the provision of transportation capacity, coordination of transportation between different delivery and redelivery points as well as back-up services for trading transactions. Furthermore, HubCo handles petroleum tax formalities for its customers. Its shareholders with equal stakes are: Ruhrgas AG, BEB Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH, Statoil Deutschland GmbH, Wingas GmbH.
